Honda CR-Z HYBRID R

I love it when people get hung up on power figures, it could drive like a POS but as long as its got 300BHP'z to tell my mates about in the pub then thats all I care about. It doesnt matter about how it handles, the stearing feel, how the power it has is delivered, how the gear box feels or the way the whole car makes you feel when you drive it, as long as its got more BHP'z than the next man it just doesnt matter, neither does it matter about the people its aimed who will buy it regardless of how much power it has compared to any hot hatch, even though its not a hot hatch

If you want big power in a crap overall package for pub ammo, look at Vauxhalls

The spoiler on these on looks much more better imo.

Like the looks of it, wouldn't be able to get over the fact it's a hybrid.

Hybrids have a stigma attached to them (for me) of being slow, boring, quiet, etc... Hopefully if they build this it'll prove me wrong.

Would like to have a test drive in one either way, to see if I can shake my own stigma of Hybrids.

It must Prius Stigma hilly as i dont recall the LS600h feeling slow, nor infact does the CR-Z. Have a try at a dealer :)

I think you're right Jonny, it must be a Prius stigma... It'll take a little bit to get over it any ways.

It's like owning a Skoda (which I was guilty of!) and their bad rep which they had during the 80's and 90's. Now a days it's acceptable and a suggested car, but for me a Prius is now the modern day Skoda, so to speak.

But like I said, if it looked like that and went well, I'd certainly go test drive one and try to approach it with an open mind. One thing going from a diesel to a petrol which I missed which I hadn't realised, was the noise. Whether a not a hybrid can fit the bill for that requirement, I guess we'll see :)

Why is everyone suddenly ok with hybrids?

Jesus, you lot are so fickle sometimes.

Not into moderns very much, but it's not a bad looking car.

everybody imagined prius when people talked about hybrids

Now people like Porsche, Ferrari and Jaguar are talking about the electric part being able to boost performance when in full atttack mode, and can be used when starting and stopping in traffic when seems an ideal implementation.

Thats whats changed peoples thoughts on hybrid.

Must say I like the look of this :D, even though the spoiler makes it look abit chavy I think it suites the car in some way, would seem as if something was missing if it did not have the spoiler at the back.

I do currently have a Civic IMA 2004 which is a great car for what it is, so will be interesting to see what the new sporty breed of hybrids will bring in the future.

Come 10 years time it would be nice to have affordable electric sports cars :D
