The American version of The Ring is pretty good if you're looking for a good creepy film and you've not seen the Japanese versions.

As an adult I've never found a film that makes me "**** my pants". I just find them quite dull to be honest.

However the style of Event Horizon was good, in that it kept me on the edge of my seat and was "thrilling". That I do like. However, it seems those films are few and far between.

Clowns.......I friggin hate clowns. In fact now I'm thinking of clowns and have gone all goose pimply! Friggin clowns!

Don't watch 'It' also

I'm not a fan of horrors mainly because I freaked myself out when I was younger.

The ones that stand out for me are

Silver Bullet (watched it when I was 7 as my elder sister was babysitting me and smuggled me to one of her friends house parties and I was dumped in front of the tv - not good - I'm still freaked out by werewolves due to it)

It - at a friends 10th bday party (what the hell)

Candyman - I still can't look into mirrors in the dark

They're old school - sorry I don't have more modern examples

btw Event Horizon wasn't that scary imho but still a good movie

I'm not a fan of horror porn, like Saw... One of those was enough for me. But two films stand out in my memory. One is The Descent about the group of female cavers. Tried watching that again recently and copped out.

The other's name escapes me, but it's about a group sent to some Eastern European place in the woods for a course or something. It doesn't end well... Though it does end better than my description of it. :)

Probably The Creature from the Black Lagoon and The Quatermass Xperiment.

Even though there are far more disturbing films out there, those affected me the most as a child. None of today's extreme cinema came as close to scaring me.

However the more modern French film Ils I found quite difficult to watch since it touched a nerve.

That the one with the kid in the wheelchair? If it is its a pretty weak film.

Wizard of Oz for me, not a horror film but the witch in it creeps me right out, other things that get me are 'muppets'. Both the actual muppets (specifically beaker) but creatures like the red puppet things in labyrinth (their heads could float around I recall?)

And yes I know the scariest thing in labyrinth should be Bowie's package
