Horse racing and Handicap

Handicaps typically offer better odds, BUT are typically more difficult to predict, trainers can deliberately run horses over their worst distance/going to get a very lenient handicap mark then boom they put it in a race it is trained to the max for and suited to (Mark Prescott is famous for this)it certainly adds to the sport IMHO , on a personal level I lost out on approx £400 at Cheltenham this year due to a handicap plot horse beating mine into second, not that I'm bitter
 
Just got it off a bloke who rides horses for a (part) living and he knows how they act.

Well he is taking BS personally (at least about horses not having feelings). Like most/all other creatures some days they just don't want to do something they did the day before...
