Someone I know has a Samsung HG55ED890WB 55" LED TV still boxed and brand new for sale which he won in a competition. I've seen it's for hospitality use and I wondered how that would differ to my current Samsung UE50JU6800 50" TV.

All my TV content goes via a single HDMI from my AV receiver to my TV so aslong as the hospitality TV has a single HDMI socket it should be fine right?

Is the 55" a better model and worthy of an upgrade? Any advice would be great, thanks.

the person you know paid £55 for it.

rather than let him profiteer look elsewhere unless of course you are getting it dirt cheap. bare in mind you will have zero warranty, etc.

hospitality tvs are built for a specific purpose, it will be okay if it's cheap enough, if he wants a lot of money buy a proper tv

What was the competition? Pulling the tv off the wall of a hotel room and walking out the building without getting spotted?
