Afternoon everyone

Had a problem in our kitchen that our wooden floor has started to lift up. Been happeing now over the course of a few weeks. This morning i've found out that the washing machine has been leaking and this is what the problem is. Seems like it's been happening over a long period only been in the house 4 months.

The concrete is soaking wet and there's also a cm hole where the washing machine has been rubbing during it's spin near the back of the machine.
Also some part seems to be damaged. No noting about washing machines my dads been looking at it for me. So now i can't seem to use my washing machine as well now.

Where do i stand with the house insurance and do they send someone out to do the work or do i have to get some quotes?.

Need to get this sorted as quick as i can.

Thanks ....

I reckon that a claim shouldn't really be a problem in this case (for the flooring at least). The washing machine might just be put down to wear and tear (if it's still under warranty then I'd call the manufacturers and get them to sort that out) and to be honest I doubt that your insurance company would fork out for that. However, the damage to the floor is something that has happened due to an appliance failing and not some shoddy workmanship so I reckon that a claim for that would be okay.
Have you called your insurance company to find out if you are covered? Get someone round to give you a free quote on fixing the flooring and take it from there :)

I hope everything works out okay ;)

I claimed for my floor when my washer leaked, and they were really good about it. They actually sent someone round to do the work, I didn't have to lift a finger. I'm not too sure about the washer though, depends on what insurance you actually have.

Thanks for taking the time to reply.
I'm insured but i've got ring back again tomorrow and see what action they say i should do.
Think i had weekend staff on the phone just now as they didn't seem to have a clue what was happening. But at least i was told i was covered.

Thanks again.
