How Big is your digital Music folder?

Close to 13Gb. Majority is high quality MP3s, either 320 or 256kbps. Some of it is 128kbps from CDs though.

I do listen to the majority of my music. The only things I don't are things that I download for other people, which they in turn import onto their own computers through iTunes.

Total 1.4TB, spread over two music servers....normally 320kps MP3, some Flac.

How... just how? If that were ALL FLAC I could understand. How many albums is that? Mine is 2,500 albums, 127GB of mp3s and most of those are 256kb or below. And that's after years and years of daily buying of CDs, ripping promos, digital downloads and 'acquired' downloads.

700gb - probably 1/3 of that are podcasts.

Mostly variable to 320k which IMO gets the best results vs. space

Been backing it up with an online backup program and it's taking months!!!

Server with 8x2Tb hard drives in it.
Currently running about 80% full, but that includes a few duplicates that I'm hunting down and removing at the moment due to my uselessness.

All FLAC, mostly 16bit 44.1khz stereo, but the vinyl rips go up to 24bit 192khz stereo, and the DVD-A rips are up to 24bit 96khz 5.1 *which are sizeable*

All ripped by myself apart from the live bootlegs and the live performances bought from nugs.net.

I listen to far too much music. :D

*edit* Just remembered that there is several years of F1 podcasts on there, all the Kevin Smith podcasts and a few coffee related ones. So not all FLAC. :D

43.4GB :/

Nothing compared to some here. It's a mixture of ripped CDs and 256-320kb/s MP3s. 5426 songs from 244 artists apparently.

I take pride in my music folder though, everything's named correctly and in the right place. If it isn't it usually drives me mad.

195gb, ~90gb of that being flac and im still not 1/3 through my cd's. I HATE ripping cds.

Thats what I'm now doing. It's all tagged correctly and in folders, it's just there's folders called 'new folder' 'new folder (2)' and so on with all sorts of stuff in them from disk changes and adding and removing my my PMP's

When I first ran the duplicate finder it came up with over 700gb of duplicated files. Oops. :o
