I buy WD Passport drives. Two at a time. Biggest size available (First 250GB, then 320GB, now 500GB)

Just checked and it's 1.1Tb which is a fair bit more than I thought.

8Mb RAWs out of the camera converted to (depending on cropping) ~25Mb per TIFF.

I'll grant you that RAW+TIFF if probably excessive but what the hey, storage is cheap.
