How do i find my PIN?

Ive just bought i new phone, id like to have a pin code to protect my phone when i turn it on etc.

Ive tried to enter a pin but it says invalid, how do i know what my pin number is? Ive looked in the book that come with the sim card and cant see anything, i cant see nothing in the phones manual either?

Ring the network and they should give you the default pin. Should also be somewhere in the manual.

Be sure not to get it wrong too many times!

nowhere in the manual! just says enter pin to change it :confused:

doesnt actually tell me what my pin is!

What details do i need if to hand over the phone if i have to phone?

my pasword was defulted to 00000000 but ive only got one try left now ahhhh lol

is the pin code specific to the sim card, or phone?

The PIN is generally SIM specific (when new it is the default for the network).

The Top Sticky has the default PIN numbers for most networks - top post second paragraph ish...

if you get it wrong 3 times it will block the SIM - DON'T PANIC!!!

Call your network, ask them for your PUK Code, this will allow you to unblock the SIM - only your network provider can give this to you - though check any network documentation that you have on the off chance that it's already in there.
