How do I get red of the Author name on my 30D?

The guy I bought my camera off set himself up with his name so that it shows him as the Author in the exif. I can't get the canon utility to work properly in Win7, I cant click the button that lets me change settings :confused: so he is still in the exif in all my photos.

Is there a way I can do a full on factory reset to clear everything? I've removed both batteries for 5 minutes and it doesn't help.

Any ideas?
 
Don't know about resetting it but the EOSinfo utility worked OK for me on Win 7 to change the author to my name

Sorry can't be more help :(
 
oooooohh, thanks I had EOSinfo installed but I was trying the official Canon utility. That worked a treat :)
