I'm really getting sick of random programs adding an item to the startup list in MSCONFIG whenever they please.
Can anyone reccomend any software that can just popup a prompt before something tries to modify that particular registry key? Registry Prot seemed nice but dated, but it doesn't seem to be available any more. This app looks nice but might be a bit fiddly to set up to auto-start as it requires admin rights.
Any ideas?
