How do planes fly upside down?

i fly helicopters, and yes, the blade pitch is collective and can usually be changed from 11 to -11 degrees, and usually works when the motor is ran at a constant rate (head hold mode) and then the throttle stick is used for controlling pitch(ie center throttle = no pitch, 100% throttle = +11 deg pitch, 0% throttle = -11 deg pitch)
I thought it was twist throttle, raise/lower for pitch?
Depends what you fly PUMAS fly 100% throttle all the time and use Collective, Rudder and Cyclic to adjust flight and speed...
The Lynx can briefly go inverted as it has a fixed head it uses Hydraulics to twist the head to give control of the Aircarft. Most larger helicopters use Articualted heads which gives a smoother ride but if they went upside down the blades would collapse..
Although i have unfortunately been the passenger in a chinook at an Air display that was going almost upside down and its one of the most scariest flights i have ever had....
