How do you cable manage data racks...

I have been tasked with cable managing an existing rack. There are 4 1U 24 port patch panels, 2 x 1U 24port POE Switches and 3 x 1U 24 port gigabit switches.

The two sets of switches connect to different routers, one is dedicated for the Hosted VOIP Solution which connects to the POE switches.

How would you organise the rack? For most of the outlets there will be one outlet patched to a data switch and one to a POE switch. Then all of the "common space" that is remaining will be patched direct to data with a couple of exceptions for a port in the conference room for the conference phone.

The rack hasn't been installed particularly well as there are panels in at angles, not using the proper spacing which leaves a few open spaces. With a bit of jiggling around there is a 2/3U of space to be found so wondered on what people would do in a similar situation.

Perhaps group the patch panels around a data switch and leave the POE's fairly central and drop in a couple of cable management bars to keep things neat?
