Just managed to spray spittle all over the front lens of my new 24-70 (don't ask)

now looks like a myriad of tiny iridescent spots.

How do I clean it off

HELP!!!!!

You need a wire brush. Dunk the lens under water and scrub vigorously....;)

On a serious not though, microfiber cloth or a piece of silk cloth, breath on the lens so it mists up and then clean with the cloth. Most marks come off quite nicely and you don't really need to apply chemicals.

Made me LOLOL

Microfibre cloth as suggested will do a perfectly good and safe job of removing most things from a lens :)

.or an angle grinder works easily as well, especially for lens re modelling. If you go fluid then use a brand like Eclipse, as there are reports the cheaper Ebay 'cleans anything for a quid' actually damages the glass. If not then the cloth and breath method is fine, chemicals are better if you get something other than water on the glass ;):D
