How do you deal with a break up?

The reason i asked guys was, me and my girlfriend split last week and we were together 18months, had a lot of things happen in such a short time, losing a baby and me losing my job about 2weeks after the loss.

she means everything to me and i just cant let her go, we ended mutually and really nice, laughed for hours in my car before i dropped her off home, and we promised each other we would stay friends, now obviously i know it will take a few weeks for us to be able to speak as friends without getting our feelings back, im just worried that the friendship will be lost aswell as the relationship :( I couldnt hack not having her as a friend as she is such a huge part of my life. the last time i spoke to her was sunday and since its been hurting so much not speaking with her.

I just dont know what to do, i text her this morning saying i would wait for her to contact me when shes ready to be friends and she said ye she would like that, in the mean time it just means we dont speak :/
 
Don't try and be friends, if it's over let it go and move on with your life. Trust me when I say dont try and stay friends you will never get over her and it will be worse when she find's someone else, which she may have already.

As much use as a chocolate fryin pan. The guy asked for advice in a place he felt secure to talk about it. I for one wish you a speedy recovery through what will be difficult times, never worry though when its all been and done you'll be twice the man! Doesn't kill you stronger and all that!
