How do you play old Nintendo tittles ?

I get my old Gamecube out every now and then. I bought it dirt cheap when my PC was away being fixed and I needed my gaming fix. F Zero GX, Mario Golf, Pikmin - great games.

I don't really buy into the nostalgia either, but they do have a slightly different vibe than PC games (manic/cute in equal measure usually...)

Please can I remind everyone NOT to hint at emulators or discuss them here. Thank you.
Why?
Emulators are not illegal in any way, it's the downloading of ROMs that is.
I play on original hardware still, though. In fact, my 4yo daughter had Mario Paint on earlier today :p

I was going to buy a 3DS at one point to play a load of the old titles but then decided against it as the catalogue isn't as comprehensive as I'd like plus there's the initial outlay just for a stroll down memory lane.

I've got a SNES and a bunch of cartridges but it's still a faff. Nostalgia is nice but I like convenience.

You can pick up a SNES with official PSU, a couple of pads and a few games for around £50. Well worth it for a good old Mario Kart of Street Fighter 2 tournament.

That's fair enough, I respect the rules.
but I think those rules need updating or changing though, because Nintendo can't copyright or in anyway disallow emulators unless they use original code, which they don't.
No copyright has been infringed, so there is no real reason for them not to be allowed to be talked about here. Bleemcast anyone?
All their website FAQ is doing, is ranting. And those particular OCUK rules are just spreading wrong info.

They've been discussed many times, including very recently. They're unlikely to change any time soon I'm afraid.

It's a shame we can't discuss that

It's very strange in my eyes that Nintendo don't officially release a pc platform of old games
I'm not buying a wii u just to play old games. But I would have I could use them on my pc

Old snes isn't really viable. As you still need a cable controller and prices are too high. My snes is just decorative

I love playing snes games with a 360 controller on pc. Shame Nintendo don't realise they could make probably a decent wack from official pc emulation
