Hi there,

As a mature student I need some advise of how best to submit my first assignment?

I have typed it up and its ready to go.

However does the title of the assignment need to be on the top of the page or on a seperate sheet of paper with my name at the bottom?

Do I had it in without a plastic cover? or should I use a plastic cover?

Its been 12 years and I just don't know what to do and dont want to be there thinking "why didnt I think of that"

The tutor only stipulated that it be word processed.

All help would be appreciated

Cheers

I usually did a front cover with every detail I could think of and then the important bits (ie assignment name and your name) in the footer of every page. Plastic cover or similar is fine.

I hope it's not a problem solving assignment.

BTEC or A-Level?

Normally just print the front cover off for the assignment and put it in a plastic sleeve, then give it to the receptionist who gives you a receipt to prove you handed it in.

That's how it works in my college anyway.

Your school/college/uni/etc. will have its own guidelines for submission of written material, which you must usually follow correctly. There may be a specific cover page you need to print, or it might just be guidelines you have to follow (eg. name on one line, course, ID number, etc.) Electronic submission can also be an option at some establishments.

Seriously though - you shouldn't be asking this here. How are some random people on a forum going to know how you should hand your assignment in?

thanks guys...

I know there electronic submission is not up and running yet so I will print it off, with a front cover that has my name, course name and student ID # on it and also the tutors name.

Cheers

My course work goes through a college system called Moodle, everything is submitted on-line, graded them returned which is when I print it off to put into my portfolio.
