I understand the standard, pay £10 in your account and use it up, i.e. calls cost 5p per min, data 5p per mb and so forth.

But is there any way I can say, pay £20 get a bundle of 4gb + etc and then have that 4gb last indefinitely?

I'm a very low usage guy. I've been starting to use spotify a lot more now but I still go nowhere near my 2gb monthly limit on Tesco.

Indefinitely, unfortunately no. You can however buy monthly addons like data bindles on PAYG, but they are sadly just monthly..

Unless I am way out of the loop..

On 3 PAYG the credit lasts indefinitely so if you mainly use data like myself then a £20 top up is 2gb worth of data as the data is 1p per mb. For every top up you get 150mb free data so I top up in £5 amounts. So if you top up £20 over 4 top ups you would have effectively 2.6gb of data to use but the free data only lasts 30 days.

Calls are 3p and texts 2p, its a pretty cheap way of running a phone these days, but all depends on your usage.

giffgaff £7.50 goodybag?

tbh how much of a difference is the saving going to make from say a £7.50 monthly deal to 321 pay as you go plan? like £2 a month for all the extra hassle of having to top up manually than have a goodybag recur monthly automatically.

i'm a really low user too, i looked into the 321 plan but couldn't be bothered switching from giffgaff.
