@ Baddass. Nope, the viewing angles are identical, looks like they are both TN panels. The horizontal viewing angles are really not bad at all, infact I might even say that they are slighly better than the 2405, but move your head vertically at all, and you can see them go dark very quickly. The colours seems so much better on the 2405. On its own, the Xerox is fine, but when comparing them side by side the Xeroxs' seems to have a slightly green/yellow tint. Fair enough this can be corrected manually, but the 2405 is perfect without any fidling.
@ Nutster. Yeah, the image retention is pretty bad. Tbh, you'd probably not notice is during most daily desktop use, but during games, films and using photoshop its quite noticable and annoying. Ive actually noticed there that the burn has changed slightly, which is probably due to the screen being demoted to the winamp/msn screen so the daily content has changed. In time you might be able to 'flush' the burn out of it, but tbh on a screen costing £300, i don't think its acceptible.
My advice to anyone thiking of buying a monitor soon is... wait and save a while and get a 2405. I got mine second hand for £500, and its perfect. Its amazing for games/films/photoshop and really great for 3D studio max.
