How does Zen stack up guys?

Hey guys,

Not at all happy with my service from SKY and the contract finished last month..

Im really considering Zen Internet due to reviews and wondered if anyone on these forums have had any experience with them?

Used them for ADSL for around a year in 2011. They were flawless.

Been with them since 2001, moved several times for both broadband and phone. Flawless was my experience too.

I'm on Zen Unlimited Fibre 2 and its very good.

Full speed all the time and good pings.

Faultless service, and the tech support is UK based and they are not script monkeys.

Can't fault them! Not cheap, but I went for the unlimited ADSL package and phone line for £44 a month.

Not had a single issue.

Thinking of swapping over for fast fibre and phone and calls package.
I know they are a good isp but what is their phone line and package like?

I could be wrong but i would check if your exchange is LLU enabled first because if it isn't then I'm led to believe that there is no difference between going for Zen or another BTOR provider

I'm a Zen customer btw and on a non-LLU exchange

Great if you live in London or manchester. Outside of them areas as their routing is awful with higher than normal latency

What fibre router/modem are you lot using.
I dont think my billion 7800n will be up to the job.
I am going for the full fat 80/20

You'll need something that supports VSDL. The cheapest option would be a secondhand Openreach VDSL modem plugged into the Billion.

I'm with Zen too and can't fault them

I use a Billion BiPAC 8800NL which has a built-in VDSL modem, it's probably the most stable router I've ever had and hasn't missed a beat - The only downside for me is the up-right design, they sorted this out in the 8800NL R2 though.

Hey dudes,

This morning I just received my new Zen router, (Zyxel VMG1312-B10D) how is that, any good? If not and someone recommends an upgrade, what to go for that isnt crazy hundreds of pounds to upgrade?
