How hard did you work at University?

Practically nothing, probably attended 5% of of lectures and tutorials so far and maybe do 3 hours work/week on average. Has to change for my final year though because i need to drag my mark up a bit

Not hard enough in first year, not quite hard enough in second year, close but no cigar in third year and pretty darn hard in my Masters year.

Didn't spend the rest of the time drinking and partying though... nope, for me it was seeing how much time/money I could waste on my PC and other peoples' :D

Quite intense due to the nature of the course and that my uni over examined for the most part. I was regularly at the library until 8/9 pm while my friends across the road at SOAS would be puffing on the old pipes and sipping mint tea...

Worked hard for my engineering degree but always found time to be against me as studying so many engineering units at the same time plus projects meant I had little for leisure activities. I was also travelling from my home in west london to east london daily and took around 2.5-3 hours total journey time (coming and going). Didn't have time to enjoy Uni tbh :(

My final year project didn't go well due to team problems and ended up with 2:1 which I appreciate. However couldn't get into engineering field so abandoned the field entirely.

Now I am studying AAT final level and hope to get into accounts (hopefully)

I look back now and think that I should have done AAT straight after my A levels as I am enjoying accounting more than engineering.

Barely - 6 hours a week of lectures and seminars, and the occassional bit of reading. Got a 2.1. Could have worked harder and got a 1st, which I regret now, but live and learn.

Became incredibly good at Pro Evo though, and got involved with loads of extracurricular stuff, so not all bad!

if my first two years are anything to go by, not hard enough. if there hasnt been any pressing coursework to hand in then i usually just turned up to 99% of the lectures and did what i had to coursework wise which took up ~25hrs a week.
if there was a big assignment due in that i was well behind on that number could easily jump to 80 or 90 hours for the week

What in the world did you study and where?

[FnG]magnolia doesn't normally sign his posts with D.P. so there's a clue in that as to who he might be lampooning.

I can't say I worked all that hard at university, I had a fair idea of what I needed to do to walk out with the grade I wanted so did that although admittedly my whole grade depended on my final year which meant all I had to do was pass the previous years and step it up a bit in the final year. Even with the increased focus on the final year I didn't worry myself unduly about it. The main thing which helped me was showing up to pretty much every single lecture regardless of how I was feeling as it meant less time that I needed to study outside of class.

I work as hard as I can physically manage to be honest.

Disappointingly it feels like the grade you get is more logarithmic instead of linear compared to the amount of time spent.

I'm yet another of the should have worked harder and ended up with a 2:2 brigade. On the plus side I had an awesome time and met my wife :D

Took pretty much a month off half way through Semester 2.

Did revision 2 days before exam,

Still got a first.

WinWin

How hard did you work at University versus how much you spent having a good time?

I worked a lot, some guys even had 40 hour weeks of timetabled classes. I had about that icnluding all course work, revision, reading, obiously way more the last year with the undergrad project and harder course work.
