We built and sail 1/144 scale Radio-Controlled Model Warships from WWI and WWII which are armed with Co2 powered cannon and armoured in thin balsa. These vessels engage each other in combat on ponds across Australia, endeavoring to punch holes in each others hull with their cannon until one of the vessels sinks or flees

How cool does this look?? Would love to get involved with something like that, surely you can substitute airguns for BB gun mechanisms, similarly to what you find on those RC tanks? Does anyone know if this has any followers in the UK? Must take ages to make one of those ships, but the best part is, even though they sink, they have a little "float" which keeps them partially afloat so they can be recovered and reused (I guess electronics are watertight?)

bored at work over the weekend, so i bought £60 worth of lego exoforce models...

look pretty cool, but ive put all 7 together now, and im bored =/

I bet those guys get laid all the time.
Yeah, everyone knows overclocking message boards are a dead cert for meeting women...

Looks kind of interesting, the boats themselves don't look very detailed so I'd imagine it doesn't take too long to build them.

My 57 year old workmate who has a beard and doesn't get any builds model boats and sails them on Westport Lake in Burslem/Longport on a sunday morning.
They have their own model boat club if anybody is interested.
I've seen pictures of his boats and they are awesome but they don't fight each other - too expensive.
I thought he was joking but one guy takes a submarine

i feel like throwing a turd in the water see how they all scream to save their boats, would be funny.

You want to see how fast a mate of mine swam when a turd hit him in the face during a swim in the sea at Cannes. I swear he could have pulled a water-skiier behind him! :D
