How is this not a thing?

I have a gaming PC that is in my office. I want a laptop with just a screen and keyboard, no other components, that I can connect to my PC (by display port or hdmi, by drilling through my wall) and play games on in my bed in another room.

Current options

Portable monitor
- no keyboard
- screens aren't that great
- not that easy to balance if playing on a bed

Nexdock
- screen is 60hz, not made for gaming

Streaming to tablet
- cable will always be better than streaming

I dont really understand why something like this, with a high refresh rate, low latency, high resolution screen is not available. Surely there is demand for this?

If I have a gaming computer, at the moment the only option to play games properly in another room is to buy a gaming laptop.

Even if this cost £1000, if it was a oled screen with a nice keyboard, I would buy it. As I can fully utilise my gaming PC, and would save on buying a gaming laptop and save on all the problems with owning a gaming laptop like overheating, noise, non upgradeable and the weight of the thing

Is it just me?

Why not just use a monitor/TV to the spec you want and a wireless keyboard and mouse? If you are going to be drilling into the wall anyway just wall mount the screen.

Thanks for the suggestion - i have considered it, but that would mean moving the computer anytime i wanted to play in the bedroom.

Drilling into the wall would literally just be to run a hdmi cable from my computer in my office to my bedroom.

All i want is a barebone laptop, screen + keyboard that is constantly plugged into my computer in my other room, and i can use WakeUpLan to turn it on.
