Hello,

First post - be gentle :)

I sent a dead 360, with the usual problem, back to be repaired on October the 5th. I've not seen it yet, but was hoping it might appear this week - as the call logger told me the expected repair time was 20 days...

Any ideas if this is at all accurate. i've heard stories of it taking well over a month.. :(

I suppose its to be expected. The address lables took nearly a week to arrive by email. I was told to expect them in two days. When I complained, they tried to convince me that 48hrs is in fact 4 days..

Hiya. I requested the lablel by email which took a hour, much faster.

Also I sent mine on the 8th IIRC and its apparently with UPS on its way back as we speak. Phone MS they will confirm where in the world it is.

Claimed! :p

It seems to vary, mine was back within a week but this was ages ago. A guy at work here had his repaired not too long ago and that was around 10 days.

daft question but where did you get the box and stuff to protect console to send it back? I got my label emailed last night and they said on phone dont use the xbox box just a plain brown box

Sent mine back twice, first time it took 2 weeks, second time (about a month ago) it took exactly a week. Shipping label took less than 24hrs both times. Guess it's just luck though.

Hoooray! My wife just called and the UPS man has just been. Looks like I really did answer my own question!

As for the box: I used a Dell laptop box, and some packaging from that. There was some nice squishy foam in it, and I had some bubble wrap anyway. You can get bubble wrap and boxes from Big Yellow though.
