How long to wait after an interview

I was a lucky beggar and got a call Monday afternoon :D

That's one of the questions I always ask at interview when I can't think of anything else... Depends how many people they're interviewing and where you fell within that, really.

yeah i really don't know how many people they interviewed etc but i was expecting them to get back on the wednesday or thursday. I am sitting around bricking it, it feels horrid

I dont see why people worry, theres nothing you can do now...........get down the pub :D

Bah well pretty much every time ive had an interview, they have rung me th same or next day.

i dont have a good feeling...

Most interviews i've been to they've told me when to expect to hear. Had one last tuesday and heard back yesterday. Unfortunately i have to go back again for round two next tuesday! Oh well, better than out and out rejection i guess....

The guy said he would be shocked if i didnt hear by the weekend, but it should be 24-48 hours, its been over 72 ..............................

I had one on Saturday and got my call on Tuesday. It's only part time work so a bit different :P

If you you had an interview, on say monday, when yould you expect them to get back to you with the outcome???

You dont have a CSE in Home Economics by any chance do you?

Why don't you ask Huddy yourself?

Lol! :D

On a serious note im not sure, id assume a few days, if nothing after 5 days then expect the worst.

Did they not give you a date?

James.

Varies a lot. I got offered the job 2 hours after my last interview ended :)
Before that I waited a week to hear from them.

I've had to wait over three weeks, but I did get the job. Phone back after a week for an update, but not before or you come across as desperate and impatient.

ive done that, said they were still sortting somethings out, is now 3 weeks and still not heard anything :(

I hate it when they dont let you know either weay, it takes 2 minutes to ring someone up and say "sorry but we have hired soemone else"

If they hadn't phoned or sent a letter by say the next monday i may consider just a quick call to ask for any updates.
It always varies between the employer and how many people they are interviewing.
My last job that i got, and i start on monday :D i was only half way home when they phoned me to offer me the job (handsfree;) ). I know its hard but just sit tight for a couple of days and listen out for the letterbox.
