How long would you keep on P Plates

Dont see the point in them... You'll not get any sympathy from me lol. If I think your driving is poor you'll recieve the w*nker single from me!

i never used them but in the isle of man yhey must stay on for 12 months as when you first pass your test the no speed limit is limited to 60 for new drivers

Nah, I think people would treat you as a learner still.

Passed in October and haven't put them on.

Now my main gripes are Tail Gaters and Cyclists :(

Never put them on. Just seems to me like saying 'Well i've passed my test but I still feel so nervous i'd actually like to have kept my L plates'.

I do however give more room to someone who has them on, because if they feel that unconfident in their own abilities behind the wheel, I don't want to put my car anywhere near their car.

I'm pretty sure this might have been said already, but why do you need them? You passed the test recently, so that means you're actually likely to be a little bit safer than the average driver who doesn't bother checking his mirrors and has got into other bad habits.

If you need P plates, you should still be displaying L plates IMO.

I didn't use them at all, jumped straight into driving without even thinking about using P plates. If anything I think it'll hinder you moreso since people will still treat you like a spacker as if you had L's on, cutting you up etc. (atleast that's my experience from learning to drive with L's making me a target)
