How many devices can you run off a daisychain sata power cable ?

I'm just trying to play it safe really.

As an example, if you have a sata power cable that has 4 sata power connectors in a daisychain setup can you run 4 devices from it ?

At the min i run the following on it.

1 x optical drive
1 x bluray drive
1 x 128GB SSD
1 x fan controller (Scythe Kaze Master) via a sata power to molex adapter.

My PSU is a Corsair AX850W

You need to know the current consumption of each device and the max current psu's SATA socket can provide

Pioneer BDR-207DBK
Pioneer DVR-S20LBK
Samsung 830 128GB SSD
Scythe Kaze Master fan controller (Via Sata power to molex adapter)

I'm not too clued up on the voltages and electrical side so if anyone could help it would be appreciated.

If you're just using the connectors on the PSU's original cabling you can have a device connected to all of them.

If you have aftermarket extension cables then you need to ensure you don’t overload the plug where it connects to the PSU’s cabling.

I'm using all the original cables, the only thing ive done on one of the sata power connectors is ive put a sata power to molex adapter to run a fan controller from it. That just saves me running a molex cable to the fan controller.
