Well l wunder how many folk will need a new case for the ATI 5870 to fit? Glad l chose the Fortress just in case the 5870 was bigger and it is.

How big is it? Bigger than standard long-length cards? I've got a LLPC7, it'd suck if I had to get a new case, I just got this one tidy.

Nope i already have my p182 hard drive removed so i have lodes of room.

the card is 11 inches and the power sockets are on the side so no need for extra length , and no i don't need a new case.

Im not sure, Lexa Blackline ive got, ive seen pics of the old 8800 GTX in it with a bit to spare, but the 5870's a smidge longer than that i think, but ive seen a pic of a 4870x2 in it as well, and i think thats same length.

We need one of those big 5870 will it fit cases thread, like what was done for the old 8800 GTX's.

I will, currently have a Gigabyte 3D aurora. A good 4-5 years old!

But i doubt ill be getting a new card any time soon.

). Expect to see a monster build log very soon with the 5870 x2 (hehe im still using athlon 64 and a 7600gt so its time for an upgrade
