How many graphics cards have you bought/owned in the last 2 years?

I am really struggling to choose between the MSI Gaming 6g or the Amp Extreme. I read some stories of the Amp Extreme having a dodgy fan controller that pulses up and down, and several reports of terrible coil whine.
Did you have any such problems with yours? Does anyone else have the Amp Extreme? really struggling to choose! How are the noise levels? Any cool whine?

I have a sabretioth motherboard so think the zotac would look better than the MSI. I know this shouldn't matter but my pc sits right next to me and is well illuminated inside.

Then there us the upcoming MSI lightning!

Would love to hear from people with the Zotac, sorry for going off topic!
I don't see complaints be more than the usual amount (definitely less than G1). The "problem" with the fan was @60 degrees, when they start spinning they emit a clicking sound a couple of times.
I think it's fine really, if it annoys you (it'll happen with less demanding games, the cooler is that good, temps are kept around 60-65) just set a custom fan curve.

I would go for it instead of waiting for the Lightning. Every week spent lowers the value of your investment, as Pascal approaches.
I'll bite,

How do you guys feel about the money that's cost you? This is particularly interesting when considering that some of these "upgrades" aren't really much of an upgrade.

It's simple, if you always get a good card (450£+) and sell it when the new gen arrives, you can upgrade without spending that much.

It might seem like grown ups just spending for the sake of it (and why not, it's fun), but in the end it makes sense price, performance and most of all, fun-wise.

P.S.
Also because there aren't so many demanding games coming out, so pc gaming it's almost less interesting than building ._.

2*670
2*970
2*980
1*980Ti (Gigabyte G1)
1*980Ti (MSI 6G)

RMA'd the 970s for reasons that dare not be spoken of out loud.

RMA'd the Gigabyte 980Ti due to coil whine (bought MSI 6G instead).

I'm sticking to xx80Ti upgrades from now on, flagship card one below the Titan. No more SLI.... No more!

I have only had 1 graphics card in the last 2 years, a 780 GTX Lightning, which has been fantastic.

If the 980Ti Lightning gets released, then I will probably upgrade, and then the 780 will get passed
down to my second system for a year, as there will still be 1 year off warranty left on it.

Not much of an upgrader here compared with a few others.

HD5450
HD 6870 RMA'd replaced with a HD7850 1gb. 2GB replaced it 18 months ago.
R9 280x in there right now, only temporary as it's going in my nephews rig for his birthday.

7950 crossfire and 290x crossfire.

Never had to RMA a card, infact I've only ever had to return 2 computer parts in 20 years of PC gaming, a 600w OCZ PSU, which came DOA and a drive bay res i bought from overclockers about 12 years ago which arrive cracked, both were replaced right away, infact i didnt even have to send the res back they just sent me a new one out.

I see people on the forums contantly sending stuff back, and trying to buy parts with huge warranties on them which would normally massively outweigh the time youll actually use the part for. Either some of you guys are very unlucky, or im very lucky, not sure which.
