How many people ended up with their first love?

He was in the year above me at school as first asked me out when I was in year 7. I laughed and said no because he was a ginger. I don't remember ever seeing him again until we went on a school trip in 6th form. My standards had obviously dropped at this point as we got together on the trip. 11 years later we're happily married, and yes I do live in fear of having ginger offspring.

In the middle of divorcing mine. Looking forward to moving somewhere she isn't when the dust settles.

It's such a shame when this happens. I can't imagine ever falling out that much with somebody you love but I guess its one of those things you can't understand until you are there.

I ended up married to mine (I was her first too). Met when we were 17, been together 11 years in Feb, and married 5.5 years. She's a spiffing chapess.

Conversely, my wife's brother married his. They've been together 8 years, married 4.5, and she's on a massive teenage-esqe re-rebellion. Not slept in the same bed for 3 months, out all hours with friends/blokes, has so far run up a 30k credit card bill, and IMO is the reason for the word bitch. Never liked her. She literally upsets everyone she comes into contact with on more than a one-off basis, and I'm only sorry my wife's bro couldn't see it coming as he's a cracking chap. She's slinging massive amounts of mud about him to her 'friends', and trying desperately trying to hide it all from other people like her family (and thankfully failing). Damaged goods in the extreme.

Was together 4 and 1/2 years, split up 7 days before christmas

She left my presents on my doorstep, i didnt get paid until xmas eve so didn't have anything for her!

She cheated on me with boss (bloke), now she is going out with another woman and seems to be happy

I had a couple of GF's since, now met a lovely woman and am quite happy :D

EDIT: on topic i know my parents were high school sweethearts and been together all these years

Yup, so far so good. Met when we were 13, pretty much grew up together through high school, and still together now (minus 6 months we broke up while abroad, but swiftly got back together after). So that makes it just about 10 years now, and well in to our second year living together :)

Nope. But we split amicably enough, still say hi and chat on the rare occasions I bump into her.

Best thing that happened for me though, now with someone much more suited to me been together 4 years live together and expecting a little one next year :)

so no biterness here :)
