How many people know who you are?

Random I know, but if you were to estimate a figure for how many people on the planet are aware of YOU, and (at least vaguely) know who you are, what would it be? Such as friends/family members/people in your community etc.

And I'm talking SPECIFICALLY about people outside of the internet. Your 17 trillion failbook (etc) 'friends' don't count.

Hard to work out but i would guess about 700. A big part of that is due to working at the same company for 8 years and 1400 people work there, many of them long term.

Yeah very difficult to estimate. I was just thinking about how 'fame' is so impotant to so many people in western culture (partially because of the x-fail repeat on TV right now). But it made me wonder how 'famous'/well-known people generally are.

I'd probably place my fame at 4-500 people worldwide.

But yeah, hard to estimate.

Taking into account schools (where, regrettably, I was more infamous than famous), college, football playing (same club for 10 years on a saturday and various on a sunday), nights out, working for the same company for over a decade, I'm estimating quite a bit more than a thousand. Maybe 1500-2000?

Bit difficult to answer really. People who would know me of me would run to tens of thousands as I use to present to large gatherings (i.e. conferences, etc.) But people who actually know me rather than in that context probably not more than a thousand at best.

I'd go anywhere between 1000-2000 who would know me to say hi and know my name.

Really hard to estimate, taking into account all jobs, schools, uni, places you regularly go out, family, friends families

That is a difficult one and totally meaningless. So sticks finger in air has a guesstimate and says a few thousand.

Well to begin with, the 14,000 people employed by the company I work for...but how would you ever really know.

seems an impossible question to answer.

Maybe a few million can remember me vaguely from my dragons den appearance ....?

I don't believe that so many people would be able to put a name to your face or have a clue about who you actually are.

I reckon a fraction of that amount may recognise your face from being on that show, but that isn't really the same as knowing who you are, is it?
