Ill be buying a new computer soon and will want to setup a raid connection on it, i want two drives in a raid 0 connection for os and software, and two drives with a raid 1 connection for my other files.
Will any motherboard support this or will i have to buy a seperate raid card?

thanks

Depends how many ports your motherboard has, and if they all support RAID. Mine has 6 ports using a Intel controller (ICH9R), I have had two RAID arrays on this, 640GB RAID 1 and a 500GB RAID 1. My DVDRW takes up a 5th port so I am unable to create a third array unless I remove my DVDRW.
