OK, This is going to sound dumb...but how many (physical) SATA drives may I connect to my MSI 875P Neo2-FIS2R? Following a mishap and a need to rebuild the PC, I have added a 400GB drive, partitioned as C (127GB) and D (244Gb). I have attached one of my 160GB drives asE, which IS OK, but after connecting the other (to SATA3) it is a case of now you see it now you don't. Sometimes it is visible on windows explorer and sometimes not.

CAN I attach 3 physical drives like this or is it a case of 'North Bridge' OR 'South Bridge' - but NOT both??

Thanks

If there is enough SATA ports, it should be fine to use them all.

I'm not familiar with that board, but the primary SATA ports will be connected to the Southbridge but the board may have a secondary controller from the likes of Promise or Silicone Image.

I would try updating the bios to the latest one.
