How much better is a 6800 than a 6600?

I am thinking of buying another 6600 pcie card to get better graphics capibility. Question should I just change to 6800, how much better would this be than my 6600? Any help would be much appreciated.

I think it would benefit you a lot more for the price its worth. Should be able to get hold of a 6800GS which should overclock and you would notice a good difference..

i have tried it 6600Gt in sli it is pants just get 1 card sli is a big white elephant

1 6800 is better than 2 6600 SLI`d

yeah SLi sucks at the moment if you ask me. when we see 2 cards in SLi using 100% of their capability i'l use it heheh.

SLI on the lower series cards does seema a bit pointless as you can get one higher series card for cheaper that will perform the same if not better in most games. (6800gt compared to 6600gt).

I would suggest depending on your processor something like the 6800gs/gt or even the x850xt which is faster than either of these although limits your ability to upgrade as you can't just throw another one in.

having said all that, I've got a 6600GT that I run at 700/1100 atm and its solid, CS:S and EVE mainly but some DOW:WA and COD2 all at playable FPS with AA and AF on at 2 or 4x depending, most games at 1024x768 or 1600x(whatever) for EVE and DOW,
its a good card if you can't afford the extra

What cooling are you using for that 700mhz core clock?

As mentioned the best bet is probably the 6800GS on this week only at £138inc
