How much for a new exhaust?

Well thanks for all the opinions which range from shafted to about right. Not too unhappy myself but the damn car is on borrowed time, once it breaks expensively I can justify buying a different one, that'll be a spec me thread!

That's not too bad a price to be honest, though it will be a pattern part rather than OEM. You could have saved yourself a fair bit of money if you could do it yourself, but changing exhausts without a car lift is a horrible job.

its not that bad as long as you have a decent jack and axle stands,

i vaguely remember putting a decat and cat back stainless on the LCR in around 40 mins start to finish on the deck. and a good ten minutes of those were trying to prise the single piece section over the axle

There you have the advantage of a newish car, exhausts on anything over 10 years are usually a utter pain thanks to corrosion.

Technically simple but a lot of hassle.

I had a new exhaust fitted to my 206 in the summer for £135. That included back, middle, front sections and labour. Fitted while I waited at a local garage. I was chuffed. :D
