How much would I get for...

Around £800. I'll buy it off you for £400 if you want an easy sale (i trade them).

You havn't heard the problems yet and your offering me £400!

The problems are mainly cosmetic it has a few dents and scratches on the bodywork the cover for the left hand tail light is slightly broken and the Main problem with it is a HUGE(caps for magnitude) Blow in the exhaust

If you do need an easy sale drop me a line. Its against the rules here to discuss deals or sell things outside of MM so no more discussion here regarding this :) You'd make more selling it on autotrader so i would advise you do that if you have the time.

Where was this, i need to get down there :D

Local auction house. Thought it might be useful as a stopgap until we see a car we actually like to replace our dead 306. Then the bidding started at £1000 and we changed our mind!

Went to get the wife another 306 tonight, saw a half tidy w-reg hdi. They go for about about £1400-£1600 in private sales usually. Bidding started at £1500  ended on £1750

Can you tell me again why you are not taking advantage of this? :p You dont think my day job pays for everything ive got do you? You sound like you know the markets well, and those prices sound insane. Get on it.

Just haven't got the funds right now, I'm not working. We're going to be putting a few quid from our stash on top of the insurance cheque, else we couldn't afford to get anything half decent.

Get down your local scrap yard and look for a replacement tail light, should be one or two there and should only cost around £10-£15. As for the exhaust, take the car to the local ATS and ask them to check it for you and ask for a quote which they will do for free. Say you will think about it and leave. You now know what part is blowing.

Either pop to a independant garage and ask if they can weld a piece of pipe over it the whole or while your at the scrappy look for a replacement exhaust.

As for the scratches, give it a wash, a T-Cut and a polish.

Not much you can do about the dents but at least having only spent a few quid on the rest you can up your asking price.
