Hello,

Just wondering what you guys would pay for cosmetic modifications to the Xbox 360. Im talking:

Full respray in chosen colour
Window cut out of top
Controllers / Headset / Remote resprayed in chosen colour.

What do you think would be a fair price to charge for that service? Its obviously going to void the persons warranty which im worried will deter most people.

i dont owe a 360 but do people pay or will pay for that?

Hopefully this thread will help me figure that out, but i've known a few auctions to go on ebay for a fair bit with these kinda mods.

given the fact the my 1st one died in the 1st 30 hours of its life, nope. if i want mods il buy vinyls, which i have, and now wish i didnt, so id guess the same would happen if i got a case mod

no way I'd pay for that - firstly I could do it myself and seconldy voiding the warranty would be a MASSIVE no no with the chance of the 360 buying the farm!

However you could do controlled resprays / leds no problem!

probably wont get much custom till about this time next year when everybody's warranties are done anyway, and the 360 will be cheaper to buy new.
I wouldnt pay for it, i dont think the insides of it are that pretty tbh lol
your other trouble is you will need to add shipping onto the cost which will add, what another 20/30 quid on top of that. You will also have to factor in some amount of risk to each job incase you do need to replace an xbox occasionally becuase you havent done something right/something cracked when it shouldnt etc.
dont think it would be a worthwhile business venture, but if u do go for it, good luck mate ;)

Above=Sums it up

However if your handy woth an airbrush i expect you could make a ton buying plain facias and doing em custom, especially if you had a webby that allowed people to create their own etc, theres deffo money in that!

My spider sense is tingling, i would pay for this, i think its a cracking idea.

...although theres plenty of competition from vinyl skin makers.

£0 i like the look of the xbox, the only thing I would change would be the colour. I would change it to black as my tv, amp dvd etc are all black.

The only thing i'd change about my 360 is i'd swap the chrome look of the premium drive plate for the white core style one :D

I liked the white one on my core and the premium ones just look cheap n nasty imo.

as mentioned really. Wouldnt take the risk of doing anything other than a faceplate whilst in warranty, and even then the only thing I'd pay for would be a colour change to black to match the rest of my av equipment.

Wouldn't get them myself, not worth it if your 360 dies :)

Exactly..at the mo i wouldnt do anything to my 360 till my warranty runs out and they become cheap enough to buy etc. Not worth imho in case the 360 goes kaput.
