Just wondering how often you change your handsets?. I tend to change yearly and just curious to find out about others.

Yeah this, I look out for signs of imminent death and then start researching for a new phone. I usually time is just about right, where the new phone comes not long before the old one becomes irritating to use for whatever reason. I've upgraded too early in the past and I've just really pined for my old phone back as I was so used to the hand feel and the way I had it set up after years of use. It's usually about 2 years at the moment.
What was your last phone? I don't remember having kept a phone for over a year. Sad I know ...

Depends a bit - I don't hurry but sometimes new tech that I actually want comes along and I will change earlier or later.

My last 3 main phones were 2008, 2011, 2015 - still using my Note 4 at that moment as my main phone.

I find too many newer phones are style over substance and it doesn't inspire me to change that often - I'd probably change more often if it wasn't for all the hurry towards non-removable battery, removing 3.5mm socket, removing SD card slot, silly curved, bevelled and notched screens, etc.
Man you still rocking the note 4!that brings back a sense of nostalgia. That's actually the phone I kept the longest . I remember moving about with spare batteries in my bag and car . Now come to think of it, if I was ever to get a phone which gives me the same feeling as the note 4, I would keep it. I also think you're right, nowadays because of social media, we just end up buying phones all the time we don't need to change . I'm using a oppo find x2 and I am going to try and keep it untill at least December next year as have always changed handsets every year.

It was a Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, frankly insane value until it started to just turn off. I threw a lot of abuse at it so it's only fair for a sub £150 device. I saw the writing on the wall so took advantage of a Pocophone F1 deal, hopefully it'll bring similar value and it is doing well do far. Time will tell :p
Hahaha I get you ..

I am really terrible, every year . I think it's all because phones are now much cheaper and readily available, as opposed to the past when the best chance you had of a new phone was a 24 month contract. But now the options are vast .
