How often do you look at your camera screen at a shot

I don't like the distraction of the bright image being illuminated just below my eye.

I noticed that on my 40d the other day.

I always check when in manual mode to make sure the exposure level is appropriate. I also check the over/under exposure warning on most shots to make sure nothing is getting blown or blacked out.
