Hi robgti

Look in Control Panel Sound and Audio Devices and or the software for your sound card/on-board sound e.g Realtek HD Sound Effect Manager.

AV Amps usually allow you to connect both analogue and digital to the same input so you can select as required.

You should be able to use either or both. For example, I use the Coaxial out from my sound card to my DAC and the analogue out to another 'Hi Fi' system in another room.

Hope this helps
