How to Dispose Old Faulty CRT?

How on earth do I get rid of it? It's just sitting here doing nothing

Apparently I'm not allowed to leave it in our purple bins.

It's a Pro 450 model - and the symptoms indicate the capacitators have blown (apparently it's a common problem for that model). I've been reading that once parts have been sourced it's a relativly easy problem to fix, but I have no idea whatsoever about repairing monitors.

A lad had been interested in paying for the delivery charge but he's not got back to me yet. Because of it's weight it's going to cost £20 to courier around to you (Coventry?).

is it the 19" model?

Yeap. The symptoms are that it'll turn on for a few seconds and then turn off (the power indicater goes, yellow from light green). I have tried changing cables and fuses, but to no avail.
