I used the VideoDownloader plugin but it had some issues I wasn't happy with; I found http://unplug.mozdev.org/ and thats much better.

With camstudio, you can record video right off the screen. I forget where I got it.

i use that works fine

1. look in your temp internet files for a file named 'videodownlaod' or similar, with an address beginning 'vp.video.google'
2. copy to some other location
3. change extension to avi
4. play in VLC

This works for me but it may be because I installed the google video player at some point and I have the codec.
