How to install new win 7 questions??

Hi,
Just bought a 1month old pc off a guy and it came with a copy of win 7 he put on it for me which he got with his new dell laptop, he did tell me it was fine to run on 2 computers,but seems he was wrong. Now i keep getting warning bubble at bottom of screen saying i am running illegal copy of windows?
Anyway,
Now i am looking to purchase a new copy of win 7 x64 and install on my pc so my questions are,

1) Is it possible to do re-install and not lose my raid ssd setup as havent got a clue when it comes to pc's.

2) What is it i need to do to re-install after putting in the new copy of windows 7 ?

Basically i dont want to lose my hd setup as it is rightnow and wipe all the drives.

This should keep all your data and just change the product key to the new one. You do not need to reinstall or even put the dvd
in the drive.

make sure you buy the correct license for your installation. Home premium for home premium etc. i do not think that OEM or retail will matter, depends if you wish to move it on later to another PC.
