How to obtain optimal settings from the Fujifilm ASK 4000

Hi,

I'm using a Fujifilm ASK4000 to print photography and graphic detail. I'm printing from Photoshop. How can I obtain the best quality prints? Do I simply use trial & error? It is important that I obtain the highest detail possible from these images.
