How to obtain Windows for HP Probook 5320m

HI,

I have got a HP Probook 5320m, I have had to replace the hard drive on it and now have no operating system.

What is the best way to obtain it, and will I have to pay for it again?

I have a product key for Windows 7 Pro which is stuck on the notebook.

HP support web page for your specific model should have a recovery image. If not get Win 10 iso from Microsoft and use your W7 key.

W10 will only work if you upgradedn the laptop to w10 also if it was no serial number required

You won't need to pay for it but it also depends, did you upgrade to W10? If so you can go here to download the W10 ISO, and it'll reactivate itself once it has internet access as Microsoft will know the laptop has a valid 10 key. If it was still on 7 then HP should have a a recovery image. Alternatively a stock W7 Pro installer will work with the HP key as well if you can get your hands on that.

Installing W10 and activating it with the W7 OEM key will work just fine.
