As title really i want to stream this on my 360 from my laptop. I gather i may need to change its file format. So how on earth do i do this. I'm on a Mac btw :) cheers for any help

Videora 360 -> MKV passthrough mode, takes ~10-20minutes for a HD film, less for a TV show. Or GOTSent works just as well.

GotSent is more reliable than Videora, Videora feels very bloated to use aswell.

Exactly the same as the source content, I believe. Gotsent isn't re-encoding it, just re-wrapping it in a different container

Edit - forgot to say that Gotsent is windows only. I used bootcamp on my iMac to run it

Only 720's play, don't even try 1080 because it just blocks up.

GotSent only re-encodes the audio.

Works fine with 1080 files.

No it doesnt, at least not all. I tried converting several, all of which blocked up.

Basic work for 0.24 is underway as well, which includes a more advanced h264 header decoder/modifier to hopefully nail down the issue with a few select 720p files that don't work, and the 1080p issue. (though reports show that some high profile 1080p files actually work). On the 360 this doesn't lead to a black screen, but very blocky images.

just did a 720p file ended up being slightly blocky like every 3 frames. Im guessing its because i was streaming it over the network via wireless?

cheers for the help so far, most useful :D

D

Did you try playing it on the host PC first?

I tried GOTSent and the MKV passthrough mode in Videora last night, neither worked for me with a variety of files. Will just stick with re-encoding it in Videora, cuts the filesize down considerably as well.
