Not according to this test....


..although for some reason Mythbusters claim a 37 ms difference counts as the same time and a 'victory for physics' but I would say that is a noticeable difference personally.

It depends on the precision of the instrumentation, and the timing of the drop with the shot.

Besides, there will always be a small difference between the two. Aerodynamic effects on the bullet as it travels through the air can affect fall time. The effects are minimal, since the bullet has near-perfect cylindrical symmetry and is rotating rapidly so generates no net "lift" (like an aerofoil would). Still, aerodynamic forces do not scale linearly, so the vertical force due to air resistance is not quite the same for the dropped bullet and the fired bullet.

In practice you can expect a small difference in fall-time (of the order ~1% or so maximum), with the bullet typically taking slightly longer to fall. The faster the exit velocity of the gun, the larger the discrepancy can be expected.

If you fire both in a vacuum then the fall time will be identical.

He does not have any guns nor will he ever have any. He has also never been to America (well not in his teenage life onwards) and defiantly does not own an American omgfort house. He's a fantasist/troll :)

Its probably nothing of real harm. North Korea are ALWAYS doing this. Showing military power and forcing there people to do as the state wants or they get sent to work camps. There people do NOT leave the country and if you are a foreign visitor to the country you get a government appointed minder (One of which is usually also a spy of kind) The furthest there missiles could even hit is Alaska anyhow. Not too fussed

Best of luck finding out much about what Korea really has. They don't play by the rules.
