How weird is this ?

I get stuff like that sometimes. Huge cases of deja vu too. I can pretty much predict how the scenario will pan out. Just every day stuff I mean. I think it is pretty cool tbh.

When I was younger I was once in the bathroom brushing my teeth when I randomly had the name "Yuri Gagarin" pop into my head. I went out to the landing and asked my Dad who was sitting alone on the sofa, "Erm, who's Yuri Gagarin?". He looked up at me puzzled, and asked if I'd been playing bamboozle (a teletext quiz game) that day.. I said no. He told me to come and look at the TV and he was playing bamboozle - the question was "Who was the first man in space?"

I was a bit freaked out.

Ah Bamboozle what a quality game!

I've did exactly the same thing with Big Trouble in Little China, last year, hadnt seen it in ages, thought to myself i wouldnt mind watching it again... day after it was on film4 (i think) I think what happened was as i was browsing the paper i must have seen it and not noticed it, but my mind did see it which made he think about it.

Perhaps we should all go to Fiji :D

I've had coincidences like this before and they do seem creepy...can never remember them, but at the time you sort of shake your head

Actually I sometimes think of a old movie I want to watch and low and behold its on terrestrial a week or so later

Yeah I've had the radio co-incidence happen to me a few times, like with Mana and Smr.

One that happens to me - is a particular track that has a nasty habit of coming up as 1st track when in random/shuffle play on Baby D's Deliverance album (if any oldskoolers remember that).

It really does make you think...

The one that really stands out for me was a dream I had years and years ago.

I woke up and remembered sitting on my bed in my bedroom (which was blue - not the colour it was at the time) playing with a (what I now know to be an SLR) camera and watching a telly screen on the back of it - that's the thing that got me, I knew it was a camera but it had a telly screen on the back.

Fast forward years and years and I'm sat in my bedroom (now blue) playing with my DSLR (a Canon 20D) and realise it's exactly the same moment.

Now I know it wasn't dejavu (or however it's spelt!) as that's a theory that the feeling is caused by your brain being slow at processing the information so it feels like you've done it twice. I know it's wasn't that as I talked to people about it after I had woken up...very strange!

Pretty sure the Truman show was scheduled last week, i bet you subconsciously noticed it. ;)

this

or you heard the kids or your GF mention it

eg : ''the truman shows on tomorrow and we have never seen it''

option 3 is of course that your are actually apart of the smr show and we are all messing with you...

Purely you had just connected psychically with him. It's nice when that happens.

I've had simular experiences in the past and I still do get them where I would be anywhere at anytime doing something like working, or on the laptop etc. where all of a sudden something will remind me of a particular film and then the next thing I know - that same film that popped into my head is on one of the channels on Sky while flicking through the following evenining. Also before anyone asks, no I didn't look in the TV listing before at any time either!

I've never told anyone this but this has happened a good few times to me. I think though it must just be a case of pure coincidence.

It's more than likely just coincidence mixed with some positive reinforcement. As you've thought about it, the coincidence actually steals some attention whereas if you never saw the movie, you'd soon forget about thinking about the movie or whatever it was. The reinforcement makes it seem more than it is. Basic human psychology/perspective really. Another sadly human trait is to believe it's something profound or mystical when it isn't; god of the gaps so to speak.
