Hello,

I am wondering How well can you play WoW in parallels? (it doesn't necessarily have to be maxed out) as I am using a program which needs to run in windows...

And should I upgrade ram to 8GB in my mbp 2010 i7 2.66 GHz as I want to run wow in parallels well? It doesn't necessarily have to be maxed out

I would try it myself but I haven't got it installed yet...

Ive tried it on i5 imac 8gb ram, and it works no problem, but it jerks about a fair bit and i would therefore say its not playable. Its quite clever the way it works though running in a virtual machine, clever stuff!!

Is that on low settings mate? and I have a i7 2.66 so maybe it could be playable for me? or not?

From memory it didnt appear to make any difference in the experience, it wasnt really a grx type jerking anyway, it was more a processing/network type of jerk (does that make sense?), almost like a network lag (although I wasnt playing networked at the time)

Why not just run it in osx? (also you can get a free trial so you could try it out. You can start playing within a few mins too, it doesn't need to download the entire files for you to actually play it)

There are many WoW plugins (that are a security risk too) that have binary libraries of code. You're probably better off running it as a bootcamp in windows instead.
