How well does a 670 cope at high resolution gaming??

I'm just going to say, if you want 60 frames steady or 60+ be prepared to be disappointed by one 670 @ 2560x1440 in some games. Specially newer games like BF3.

The thing is, you can always try the setup, if you like it just keep one 670, if you don't get one more later right? That is, if you have the money/motherboard/psu for it.

depends if you want maximum settings or just high/very high settings

BF3 is one of the harshest and you can still play it on high on a single 670 on 1440... if you want ultra then you will want 2 to maintain 60 FPS

I have tried 120hz monitors and I much prefer high res over high refresh

50fps still looks butter smooth on bf3 with the 7970 to be honest

Depends on settings....

The Vram is not an issue if thats what your trying to get at but,

For full setting you will need two in bf3, metro ect.

But one will handle 90% of the games out there no problem

This, although I've found Sleeping Dogs will max out my two 670 using MSAA, forcing me down to FXAA some times

Yeah I'm 99.999999% sure. If I'm playing BF3 when my other monitor is plugged in it only refreshes at 60hz. Maybe other cards can output 60 and 120hz simultaneously but it doesn't work for me.

When I ran 2 monitors (one at 120Hz, one at 60HZ) I was 100% playing BF3 at 120 HZ

If the game is using both monitors, it will relegate the 120hz to the lowest available. But if you're using the 120hz for the game and the other for desktop, you will be playing in 120hz.

It just wont work that way for me. When I plug in my other monitor the screen on my main 120hz one flashes and comes back on. Immediately when I move my mouse I can see it's in 60hz mode, on either screen. When I unplug my second screen my main screen flashes again and is back in 120hx mode.
