How wide a lens for buildings

For taking pictures of tall buildings, my regular 28-75 isnt quite wide enough. Would you say something around the 17mm mark is sufficient? or would something even wider, maybe like a 10-22 be better?

Normally, I dont take pictures of buildings, but im soon to be in Kuala Lumpur, I cant miss the chance to take a few of the Petronas towers.
If 17mm is fine, I'll take the standard kit lens - thats good enough eh?, if a wider is suggested I'll take a look at the tamron and canon offerings. Im only looking to take 2 lenses. 28-75 and a wider one for the scenery.
 
It's depends how close you are standing to the building and remember that a wider lens will mean more distortion on the building.
